Otrębusy: A Visit to the Automobile Museum

The days go by and the next rally is just around the corner. This time the Syrenas and Warszawas will head to Vienna and Budapest. We have also been getting our Warszawa ready for the season since early spring. This trip was meant to show us what else our Warszawka Agrafka needs so that we could make further improvements. The nearly five hundred kilometers we covered showed that the valve clearance needs adjusting, the generator needs checking, and a few drafts and squeaks in the cabin need eliminating. The museum in Otrębusy that we visited is a place everyone should see, not just vintage-car enthusiasts. There you can see over 300 vintage vehicles and hundreds of suitcases, televisions, radios, and other historical exhibits. The drawback, however, is too few suitable rooms in which to display such a broad, magnificent collection. The owners seem to want to save these vanishing testaments of technical culture from destruction, pushing the beautiful interiors into the background. Well, perhaps the Ministry of Culture might co-fund this undertaking. Comparing the museum in Otręby with the Museum of Technology in Warszawa, though, it is simply superb!
