Digital Printing (DTG)

DTG allows almost perfect reproduction of every detail and color, which is why it works excellently for prints made from photographs. Unlike screen printing, production does not require the preparation of screens; the printer applies the entire design onto the clothing straight away.

The ink penetrates directly into the material and is then cured. Unfortunately, due to the throughput of the printers, DTG does not work well for larger runs, but it is the best choice for creating individual, one-of-a-kind prints. Digital printing is most often done on cotton, on white clothing. In the case of other colors, an additional white layer of ink is applied underneath the actual design, but we have to accept that even then the color of the print will not look exactly as we wanted.

Clothing with a DTG print should be washed at lower temperatures so that the color intensity stays the same. Digital printing breathes, so there is nothing to stop you covering the entire fabric of a garment with it, for example a T-shirt; it will not wrinkle or crack, as sometimes happens with screen printing.

DTG, compared with other methods, is an expensive method, but if we care about photographic quality, the use of many colors, or a T-shirt just for ourselves, it is the best one.
