Agraf and Brewing

Back in the 1990s we collaborated with the Warmińsko-Mazurski Jurand Brewery. The brewery's owners commissioned our company to run a complete image and advertising campaign. With it, the brewery wanted to distance itself from the lower-quality beers brewed in the BWM era. A new brewmaster from Germany, new high-quality beers under new names, with new graphic design. It was our company that designed the labels known from the bottles of the beers Mazurskie, Żagiel, and Jurand Mocny. We printed the labels for Jurand Pils, Jurand Light, Jurand Mocny, Jurand Premium, Mazurskie, and Żagiel. Besides the labels, we also produced glasses, bottle openers, and coasters for the brewery — the popular "wafle". So if you have this breweriana in your collection, it was most likely made by the Agraf company. We designed and printed flyers, calendars, posters, banners, and advertising flags. In addition, for the Jurand brewery we made polo shirts with an embroidered Jurand logo, sleeveless tops with an embroidered patch, and printed T-shirts made using the screen printing method.

After the brewery closed in 2007, a time of beer gloom set in. Fortunately, like everything bad, it didn't last long. In 2009 we carried out a full advertising campaign for the newly opened "Piwa Regionalne" (Regional Beers) shop. The project involved creating a distinctive image for the shop and highlighting a broad offer of more than 300 unique beer varieties. We created the logo and a complete visual concept, an interactive website, and numerous promotional campaigns run through Facebook and Google Adwords.

A few years later came the craft beer revolution, in which Agraf took part. Among others, we worked with home breweries. These beer enthusiasts, whose numbers keep growing, ordered from us designs as well as the printing of labels and T-shirts with the brewery's logo. We present the labels and a printed T-shirt we made, using the thermal transfer technique, for the Bocian home brewery from Olsztyn. The print was made on a Promostars Premium T-shirt two years ago. The owner still wears it regularly, as you can see in the photos.

For the Warmiński Browar Parowy (Warmian Steam Brewery) we designed a label for the beer Treściwe. The illustration, in an engraving style, depicts a traditional 19th-century brewery.

The growth of the brewing community in Olsztyn led to a collaboration with the Warmia-Masuria regional branch of the Polish Homebrewers Association. For the branch's members we made T-shirts with an individual print. We produced the prints on Promostars Heavy T-shirts using the screen printing method. For years we have also been making T-shirts and promotional products for the Warmiński Konkurs Piw Domowych (Warmian Home Brew Competition).

In 2020 the Agraf company began a collaboration with the head office of the Polish Homebrewers Association, one of the largest associations in the country. We offer association members very attractive terms of cooperation. Both for design work by our graphic design studio and for the production of promotional products, calendars, mugs, and promotional clothing bearing the logo or artwork of a home or commercial brewery.
