Sublimacja

Sublimation is an advanced digital printing technique that utilizes the direct transition of dye from a solid to a gaseous state under controlled high heat and pressure. The graphic design is initially printed onto a specialized transfer paper and subsequently transferred onto the substrate. The gaseous dyes penetrate directly into the polymer structure of the fibers, making the print an integral part of the fabric. Sublimation is restricted to light-colored (preferably white) substrates to prevent color distortion caused by the ink blending with the base fabric color.

The fundamental technical requirement for successful sublimation is the material composition of the substrate—the dye bonds exclusively with polyester fibers or polyester-coated surfaces (such as promotional ceramics). Optimal output with maximum color vibrancy and sharpness is achieved on 100% polyester textiles. While blended fabrics containing lower polyester percentages can be printed, the resulting image will exhibit reduced color saturation and a weathered appearance.

Sublimation offers exceptional functional properties, making it the industry benchmark for sportswear and technical apparel. Because the dye integrates directly into the fibers, the print remains completely weightless, preserves full fabric breathability, and maintains original elasticity. Sublimated garments demonstrate maximum resistance to high-temperature laundering, abrasion, and UV radiation without cracking or peeling over time.

From a graphic and economic perspective, sublimation provides photographic print resolution with seamless color gradients and unlimited CMYK color utilization. Unit pricing is independent of color count or graphic complexity. Requiring no physical plate setup, the technology is highly cost-effective for both single-unit custom orders and large-scale wholesale production, particularly for full-bleed (all-over) garment printing.
